All activities are led by Alexandra Windsong and meet at The Healing Way, 250 W. Patrick St. in Frederick, MD unless otherwise noted. Pre-registration is required unless otherwise noted.  To register you may print a copy of the registration form and mail it in, or contact Alexandra at 301-696-8380 or mail@thetrueself.com. For classes designated as offered through Frederick Community College, you must register with the college. The Calendar is updated frequently. Dates are subject to change. February 2008

Journal Writing Group: Friday, Feb. 22nd, 7:00 - 8:00 pm. No experience required, only a desire to explore, expand and grow! Join us as we write and grow together. $10.

Drum for Joy Workshop with Guest Instructor Jaqui MacMillan:  Saturday, Feb. 23rd, 1:00 - 3:00 pm. From the "beginning beginner" to the advanced player, a Drum For Joy! workshop is enjoyable for everyone! Learn the language of the drum, basic hand drum technique and how to make your drum sing. All levels of experience are welcome. Jaqui MacMillan has been hand drumming since the early 1980's. She has studied with many Masters, and has taught privately and given workshops around the country for over fifteen years through her program, "Drum For Joy!".  Please bring your drum with you to the workshop. $35. Monday Night Meditation: Session runs Feb. 25th - March 31st, 7:00 to 7:45 pm. Pre-registration suggested. Drop-ins welcome provided space is available. $39.00 for the entire six week session or $8.50 per individual class (drop-in). (Only two spaces left in this session).

Reiki I Workshop: Saturday, March 1st, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.  Reiki helps to strengthen, clear, balance and align one's energy systems to promote healing and well-being for body, mind and spirit. Simple and easy to learn, it requires no previous training, experience or special abilities, only the desire and willingness to learn. Class size is limited to six participants. Certificates are issued upon completion of the workshop. $100.

Developing Your Intuition - Introduction to Understanding Intuition and Psychic Abilities: Due to the overwhelming response to this class when it was originally offered in Feb. we have decided to repeat this class this month as well. Tuesday, March 4th, 7:00 - 8:30 pm. We all have intuitive or psychic ability - a sixth sense if you will. And this ability can be cultured and developed. Join professional psychic Alexandra Windsong as she shares her experience and abilities in this new monthly series to help you develop your own intuitive and psychic abilities. No pre-requisites. $15.  Pre-registration is absolutely required for this class. Class fills up fast. (Only four spaces left!)

Meeting Your Spirit Guides - Class Through FCC: Thursday, March 6th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Many people believe we are aided or guided throughout our lives by "unseen" forces or helpers. Known by a variety of names, but primarily referred to as "Spirit Guides," these helpers are believed to assist us in a variety of ways. Join us in a discussion of the nature of these beings, the different forms they may take, and their role in people's lives. You must register with Frederick Community College for this class. The Healing Way Book Club - "Life is Short. Wear Your Party Pants" by Loretta LaRoche, (non-fiction): Tuesday, March 11th, 6:30 - 7:30 pm. An informal discussion group to explore books related to healing, metaphysics, spirituality and personal growth. Titles selected will include both fiction and non-fiction works. Free event. Pre-registration is not required for this event. This month's selection is available at Borders, Amazon.com and Ten Thousand Joys.

Drum Circle: Friday, March 14th, 7:00 - 8:30 pm. Bring your drum, bring your rattle, bring a friend. Don't have a drum? No worries. You're still welcome to come and check it out. Open to all regardless of experience or skill level. Admission: Free. Pre-registration not required.

Chakra Dance with Guest Instructor Karen Boger: Saturday, March 15th, 1:30 - 3:00 pm. Moving your body joyfully, you will dance through the energies of your chakras, bringing health, happiness and well-being to yourself. No pressure. No right or wrong. Only the joy of moving your body and reconnecting with yourself. $20.

Developing Your Intuition Field Trip: Sunday, March 16th, 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Spend the afternoon with professional psychic Alexandra Windsong on the Antietam Battlefield as she shares her experience and abilities - helping you to explore and expand your own sensing abilities in an energetically charged environment. $40 (Only four spaces leftf!)

Gallery Readings with Alexandra: Saturday,  March 22nd, 7:00 - 8:30 pm. Receive information about, and/or messages from, your spirit guides as Alexandra performs mini readings for each participant in a gallery style setting. Join us for a fun and enlightening evening as Alexandra shares her special gift. Makes a great "girl's night out". (Auras and past lives may be read for some participants). Space is limited to 10 people. Event includes a 20 - 30 minute general Q & A session about readings and related topics. $15.  (This  event is already over one-third full)

Protecting Your Energy: Sunday, March 30th, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Do you ever feel drained by certain people or situations? Do you wish you had more control over the impact that others can have on you emotionally and energetically? Learn how to deal with a variety of situations including psychic, or energy, "vampires", and how to keep your energy clear of interfering influences from your environment and other people. Learn how to strengthen your own energetic boundaries and how to impact the environment around you in a positive way. $25.

Chakra Explorations - The Root Chakra: Saturday, April 5th, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Important energy centers, chakras are affected by, and have an impact on, our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. This month the focus will be on the root chakra - and in-depth study of it's function and purpose as part of our energy system. Class will also include an experiential exercise to help you better understand your own root chakra. $25.

Healing the Self - a Self-Healing Intensive: Wednesdays, April 9th - 30th, 7:00 - 8:15 pm. Heal your heart, heal your body, heal yourself. Explore tools you can use to take charge of your healing and your life in this hands-on intensive. Learn how to focus and direct your energy and your intention to promote healing and balance for your body, mind and spirit as we explore various self-healing techniques in this four week intensive. No previous experience required. $60.

House Blessings & Clearings: Sunday, April 13th, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Your home is a sanctuary, a place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the outside world, a place to relax and renew yourself, a place to feel safe and secure. Learn to keep your home clear of unwanted energies and how to fill your home with the energies you do want. Learn to clear and protect your home, office, or car - whatever space you wish. $25.

What's Your Totem? - Class Through FCC: Thursday, April 17th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  Learn about the world of animal totems and messengers. Discuss how to identify and recognize personal power animals and how to interpret their symbolism and significance. Registration for this class is with Frederick Community College. Reiki II Workshop: Sunday, April 27th, 1:00 - 5:00 pm. In this workshop you will receive the second degree attunement, learn the Reiki symbols and how to use them and take your Reiki experience to the next level. Class size is limited to six participants. Pre-requisite: Reiki I. Certificates issued upon completion of workshop. $150. Those who have previously taken Reiki II with Alexandra, may audit this class for a nominal fee.
